When you ask for help in the StackJack Discord with something specific to your own account (a connection, an automation, your usage, an error you saw), the team needs to know which StackJack account is yours. Verifying proves that without you posting your email address, your name or your organization in a public channel. It takes about a minute.
How to verify
- In the StackJack Discord, type
!supportidin any channel the bot can see, or use the slash command/supportid. - The bot sends you two buttons: My account is in the US and My account is in the EU. Pick the region your StackJack account lives in. If you are not sure, it is the Portal you normally sign in to.
- On the page that opens, choose one:
- Sign in to StackJack. Sign in the way you always do, then confirm linking your Discord account to your StackJack account. This is the stronger proof, so use it when you can.
- I can't sign in. Enter the email address on your StackJack account. If it matches an account in that region, a 6-digit code arrives within a minute or two. Enter it on the page; it works for 10 minutes.
- The page shows your support code, shaped like
SJ-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. Select Copy. - Paste the code into your help thread in Discord. The bot reacts with ✅ and replies "Verified."
The link from step 2 is only for you and works for 30 minutes. If it expires, type !supportid again.
If your Discord settings block direct messages, the bot answers in the channel with a Verify privately button instead. Only you can use it, and only you see the links it shows.
What other people see
Only the support code you paste and the bot's ✅. Your email address, your name, your organization and your region never appear in Discord. The code is tied to your Discord account, so it is useless to anyone else: if another account pastes it, the bot refuses it.
The StackJack team looks the code up on their side to see which account it belongs to. They still confirm the details before changing anything on your account, and anything involving billing or credentials moves to a support ticket.
How long it lasts
A verification counts for 90 days. After that, verify again the same way.
- To verify again before then (for example, after you move to a different organization), type
!supportid new. - To remove your verification, type
!supportid forgetor!forgetme. Both delete the text the bot stored from your messages and searches, and its record that you are verified, and send you one link per region that deletes the verification on the StackJack side. The ✅ on your pasted code stays in the channel, but it no longer counts. See StackJack Discord bot privacy for what that covers.
If something goes wrong
- "That code belongs to a different Discord account." The code was made for another Discord account. Verify from the account you are posting from.
- No code email arrived. The code is sent only to an address that is on a StackJack account in the region you picked. Check the other region, check your spam folder, or sign in instead.
- The page says verification is unavailable. Ask in the channel, or email
support@stackjack.io. See Getting help for the other ways in.
